Interior Designer Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist designers with space planning, mood boards and design research
• Support the preparation of 2D drawings and 3D visualisations
• Help organise material samples, product libraries and supplier information
• Participate in site measurements and project inspections
• Update design drawings based on instructions and site conditions
• Prepare presentation boards and client meeting materials
• Assist with furniture, lighting and finish selections
• Maintain project folders, drawing records and design documentation
• Support photography and documentation of completed projects
• Learn company design, costing and project delivery workflows
• Explore AI tools for design research, presentation and productivity

Required qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
• Basic knowledge of space planning and interior design principles
• Basic AutoCAD and SketchUp capability
• Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions
• Responsible, organised and willing to learn
• Able to commit to the agreed internship period

Preferred qualifications

• Basic Kujiale, Enscape, D5 Render or 3ds Max capability
• Portfolio of academic or personal design work
• Interest in sustainable design and material application
• Own laptop capable of running relevant design software
• Own transport for occasional site visits
• Potential availability for full-time employment after internship
