Interior Designer

Design spaces that are visually strong, technically practical and ready to build. HISTRONG is looking for an Interior Designer who can translate client needs into coordinated design solutions from concept to site execution.

Job purpose

Drive measurable outcomes as a Interior Designer, owning your work from brief to result and collaborating across design, sales and delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop interior design concepts based on client requirements, budget and site conditions.
Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, mood boards and material palettes.
Produce 3D visualisations and presentation drawings.
Prepare technical drawings, elevations, sections and construction details.
Conduct site measurements and verify existing conditions.
Coordinate design requirements with sales, project, supplier and installation teams.
Select finishes, furniture, lighting, cabinetry and relevant HISTRONG products.
Review shop drawings, material samples and installation details.
Resolve design discrepancies during project execution.
Maintain organised drawing revisions and design documentation.
Attend client presentations, coordination meetings and site inspections.
Ensure proposed designs are practical, cost-conscious and buildable.
Support value engineering without compromising the design intent.

Required qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline
At least 1–3 years of relevant interior design experience
Strong space-planning and design development capabilities
Able to prepare clear construction and technical drawings
Good understanding of interior materials, cabinetry and basic construction methods
Able to manage multiple projects and drawing deadlines
Good communication and presentation skills
Possess own transport and willing to attend site meetings

Preferred qualifications

Strong residential or commercial project portfolio
Experience taking projects from concept through completion
Knowledge of green building products and sustainable material selection
Experience with cabinetry, wall panels, ceilings and custom built-ins
Familiarity with AI-assisted rendering and design workflows
Mandarin & English communication capability
Experience preparing authority or submission drawings
